ARQUINAUT, in collaboration with BRAZENOSE, was selected to develop the Interior Design Guidelines for the University of York following a rigorous selection process.
As competition in the higher education sector intensifies, institutions like the University of York continue to play a vital role in enhancing the student experience. Beyond academic excellence, the quality of campus spaces significantly impacts learning, well-being, and community engagement. Thoughtfully designed environments contribute to both student success and institutional reputation.
Recognizing this, we developed a comprehensive interior “brand identity” for the University’s campus. This framework unifies the design language across key spaces, including lecture halls, common areas, student residences, and collaborative learning zones. By establishing clear principles and standards, we have created a cohesive and future-proof vision that will guide interior design decisions for decades to come.
Our approach balances functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, ensuring that campus spaces not only meet current needs but also adapt to future advancements in pedagogy and student life. Through this initiative, the University of York reaffirms its commitment to providing an inspiring and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff.
