Barraq is a mobile street vendor stand that is easy to assemble, fold, and transport on wheels in form of a trolley. It features a built-in power source for lighting and appliances like a cash register or mobile phone. Integrated solar panels can recharge the battery or directly power devices.
Designed with environmental and social sustainability in mind, Barraq follows the principles of frugal innovation—flexible, accessible, and disruptive. Gregory Martínez de Riquelme developed the prototype for affordable mass production, making it accessible to a broad audience. The design is patented.
